Community Partner: Refer & Earn
Refer users to Tutorwise and earn from sessions delivered successfully
Turn the community you already manage into a new earning opportunity. Refer tutors, clients, or both to Tutorwise, track attributed users, and earn from successfully delivered sessions.
Earn from the community you already manage.
If you already bring together tutors, parents, students, learners, teachers, or education communities, Tutorwise gives you a simple way to turn those introductions into an ongoing earning opportunity.
Community Partners help Tutorwise grow by introducing people from the communities, organisations, and networks they already know and trust.
You can refer tutors.
You can refer clients.
You can refer both.
And you do it through one Community Partner referral link.
Tutorwise handles the attribution, marketplace activity, and applicable earnings when sessions are delivered successfully.
One Community Partner. One Referral Link. Two Ways to Earn.
Bring tutors → earn 25% of Tutorwise's applicable platform fee generated by eligible sessions delivered by those referred tutors.
Bring clients → earn the applicable 10% referral reward when those referred clients complete eligible sessions.
Bring both → you can earn through both routes where the relevant eligibility conditions are satisfied.
What Is a Community Partner?
A Community Partner is an organisation, group, network, or community that introduces people to Tutorwise.
You do not need to be a traditional tutoring company.
A Community Partner could be:
- A tutor group
- A tutoring organisation
- A school or education community
- A parent group
- A Facebook or WhatsApp community
- A professional teaching network
- A local community organisation
- An education charity
- A student or learner community
- An online education group
- A membership organisation
- Any suitable organisation with access to tutors, clients, or both
What matters is that you already have relationships with people who could benefit from Tutorwise.
For example, your community may already include:
- tutors looking for more students;
- classroom teachers who tutor outside school hours;
- parents asking for trusted tutors;
- students needing additional support;
- adult learners;
- education professionals;
- families looking for specialist help.
Tutorwise gives you a way to introduce those users to a marketplace where they can find each other, book services, make payments, and complete sessions.
You continue doing what you already do well:
building and supporting your community.
Tutorwise provides the marketplace infrastructure behind it.
Why Become a Community Partner?
Many organisations already create value by connecting people.
A tutor group may know hundreds of tutors.
A parent community may regularly receive questions about finding tutoring support.
A school community may know both teachers who want to tutor and families looking for additional help.
An online education group may contain thousands of potential Tutorwise users.
Until now, those introductions may have created value without creating a direct earning opportunity for the community that made them possible.
Community Partner changes that.
You do not need to build another tutoring marketplace.
You do not need to process bookings yourself.
You do not need to decide whether someone is a tutor or client before referring them.
Bring the community. Tutorwise handles the platform.
Your Community Partner Portal
Authorised Community Partner owners and admins receive access to the Community Partner Portal.
The portal gives you one place to manage your Partner relationship with Tutorwise.

Your Community Partner relationship is separate from your ordinary Tutorwise user account.
Your account identifies who you are.
Your Partner membership identifies which Community Partner you represent.
Your Partner permissions determine what you are authorised to manage.
Refer & Earn
Refer & Earn is the simplest way to understand the Community Partner model.
You introduce users.
Tutorwise records where those users came from.
Those users then participate normally in the Tutorwise marketplace.
When eligible sessions are delivered successfully, the appropriate earning route can apply.
The opportunity is two-sided.
Bring supply.
Bring demand.
Or bring both.
The Community Partner does not have to choose one side of the marketplace.
Two Ways to Earn
Community Partners can create value in two different ways.
1. Bring Tutors
If you introduce tutors or providers to Tutorwise, those tutors can create profiles, publish services, receive bookings, and deliver sessions.
When eligible sessions are delivered successfully, the Community Partner can earn 25% of Tutorwise's applicable platform fee generated by those referred tutors.
The important distinction is:
25% applies to Tutorwise's platform fee — not to the full booking value.
This means a Partner participates in the value Tutorwise earns from the provider activity it helped create.
2. Bring Clients
Community Partners can also introduce clients and other users into Tutorwise.
When a referred client goes on to complete an eligible booking, the applicable 10% referral reward can be earned.
This referral mechanism is part of Tutorwise's broader Refer & Earn model.
It is not limited to Community Partners.
What Community Partner adds is the ability to combine that referral opportunity with the additional Partner platform-fee earning route.
3. Bring Both
This is where the Community Partner model becomes particularly powerful.
Many real communities naturally contain both tutors and clients.
You may already have:
- tutors who want students;
- parents looking for tutors;
- teachers offering private lessons;
- students asking for recommendations;
- families seeking specialist education support.
You do not need separate programmes.
You do not need separate links.
A Community Partner is not simply a "tutor referral Partner" or a "client referral Partner".
You can introduce the whole community.
One Referral Link
Every Community Partner has a referral link available from:
Partner Portal → Referrals
Your Partner referral link is the main entry point for the people you introduce.
You can share the same link with:
- tutors;
- teachers;
- parents;
- students;
- clients;
- adult learners;
- members of your organisation;
- members of your online community.
You do not need to determine their future Tutorwise role before sharing it.
Tutorwise handles that later.
Think of your referral link as your Community Partner's doorway into Tutorwise.
You introduce the person.
Tutorwise handles what happens next.
How to Share Your Referral Link
Use the channels where your community already communicates.
You might share it through:
- Facebook groups
- Newsletters
- Community websites
- Tutor recruitment campaigns
- Parent communications
- School communications
- Social media
- QR codes
- Printed materials
- Community events
- Professional networks
- Direct personal introductions
You do not need a complex marketing campaign to start.
Often the strongest opportunity is simply making Tutorwise available to people who are already asking your community for help.
Recommended Facebook Group Setup
If your community is a Facebook group, the admin workflow can stay simple.
- Add your Tutorwise referral link to the Facebook group About or Description area.
- Create a clear Community Partner post containing the referral link.
- Pin or feature that post so it remains easy for members to find.
- Re-share the link naturally when members ask relevant questions about tutors, tutoring work, or learning support.
Example pinned post:
Looking for a tutor, tutoring work, or learning support?
Our community is a Tutorwise Community Partner.
You can join Tutorwise here:
[Partner referral link]
Sign up normally and Tutorwise will guide you through the rest.
Keep the wording clear rather than overly promotional. The aim is to make the Tutorwise route easy to find when members already need tutoring support or tutoring work.
How to Use Referral Assets
Your Community Partner referral assets all represent the same Partner relationship and the same canonical referral URL.
They are different ways to share the same introduction, not separate referral systems.
- Referral Link — use it in a Facebook group About or Description, group posts, relevant comments, WhatsApp, email, newsletters, and direct messages.
- QR Code — use it on posters, flyers, events, printed material, newsletters, and social graphics.
- Embed Code / Button — use it on your Partner website, blog, or another web property you own.
- Social share — use it for Facebook, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn where those options are available.
No matter which asset you use, the referral relationship should resolve through your Community Partner referral URL.
What Happens After Someone Uses Your Link?
Tutorwise is designed to handle the process after the introduction.
You do not manually assign the user as supply or demand.
You do not manually create their Tutorwise account.
You do not manually calculate the earnings.
The system handles the marketplace journey.
What a Referred User Should Do
A referred user should continue through Tutorwise normally.
They should:
- sign up normally;
- complete normal Tutorwise onboarding;
- not enter a Partner code;
- not choose the Facebook group or community that referred them;
- not choose tutor or client in advance;
- continue through the normal Tutorwise marketplace journey.
Tutorwise will guide them through the relevant next steps after signup.
The Community Partner link records the introduction. It does not replace Tutorwise signup, onboarding, or the user's normal marketplace journey.
Attribution: How Tutorwise Knows the User Came From You
Attribution records the relationship between the referred user and the Community Partner that introduced them.
The important question is:
Who introduced this user to Tutorwise?
It is not:
What role will this user eventually have?
Someone introduced through your referral link may later participate as:
- a tutor;
- a client;
- a parent;
- a student;
- another supported Tutorwise user.
That role can emerge naturally as they use the platform.
Referral attribution belongs to the introduction.
Marketplace role belongs to the user.
Keeping those concepts separate means Community Partners can refer people without having to predict how they will use Tutorwise.
Attributed Users
The Community Partner Referrals page refers to the people you have introduced as Attributed Users.
This is intentionally broader than "Attributed Providers".
The important relationship is that your Community Partner introduced them.
This allows a tutor association, a parent group, or a mixed community to use the same model.
Tracking Your Referrals
Go to:
Partner Portal → Referrals
This is where you can:
- copy your Community Partner referral link;
- see users attributed to your Partner;
- review referral status;
- see when users were referred;
- view additional role or type information where available.
The Referrals page answers:
Who have we introduced to Tutorwise?
Tracking Your Earnings
Go to:
Partner Portal → Earnings
The Earnings page answers a different question:
What eligible value have those introductions generated?
Keeping Referrals and Earnings separate makes it easier to understand the journey from introduction to value creation.
When Does an Introduction Become an Earning?
Community Partner earnings are connected to successful marketplace outcomes.
A link click does not itself create an earning.
A signup does not necessarily create an earning.
A booking alone may not yet create a final earning.
The important event is the successful completion of the relevant session.
This aligns the Community Partner programme with actual value created for users.
Community Partner Platform-Fee Share
Where the applicable Partner conditions are met, a Community Partner can earn:
25% of Tutorwise's platform fee
from eligible sessions generated through referred tutors.
For example:
Tutorwise Platform Fee £10.00
25% Community Partner Share £2.50
The Partner receives £2.50 in this example because £2.50 is 25% of Tutorwise's £10 platform fee.
The Community Partner share is calculated from Tutorwise's platform fee.
It is not 25% of the total booking value.
Referral Reward
The Tutorwise referral system provides a separate earning route.
Where the applicable referral conditions are met, the 10% referral reward can apply when a referred user completes an eligible session.
For example, if your Community Partner introduces a client who later books and completes an eligible £100 session, the applicable referral reward can be:
Booking Value £100.00
10% Referral Reward £10.00
This is separate from the Community Partner platform-fee share.
What Happens If You Bring Both Sides?
Suppose your Community Partner introduces both:
- the tutor; and
- the client.
The client then completes a £100 booking with that tutor.
Assume Tutorwise's applicable platform fee on the booking is £10.
The earning routes could be:
Client referral reward £10.00
Community Partner platform share £2.50
------
Total Partner earnings £12.50
The £10 comes from the referral reward.
The £2.50 represents 25% of Tutorwise's £10 platform fee.
The percentages use different calculation bases.
10% is the referral reward.
25% is the Community Partner's share of Tutorwise's platform fee.
They should not be added together and described as "35% of the booking".
This is why introducing both sides of the marketplace can create additional value for a Community Partner.
Example 1: Tutor Group
Bright Learning Network has a community of independent tutors.
Some are looking for additional students but do not want to build their own booking and payment systems.
Bright Learning becomes a Community Partner and shares its Tutorwise referral link with the network.
Bright Learning has turned an existing tutor community into a new distribution channel without having to operate a tutoring marketplace itself.
Example 2: Parent Community
A local parent group has thousands of members.
A common question in the group is:
"Can anyone recommend a good maths tutor?"
The group becomes a Tutorwise Community Partner.
Instead of trying to manually maintain lists of individual tutors, the admin can introduce parents to Tutorwise.
The community continues doing what it already does — helping its members — while gaining an earning opportunity from successful introductions.
Example 3: Facebook or Community Group Admin
Imagine you manage a large local education Facebook group.
Inside the group are:
- tutors looking for students;
- parents looking for tutors;
- students looking for help;
- teachers offering tuition;
- people asking for recommendations.
That community already contains both supply and demand.
The admin does not need to become a tutoring company.
The value already exists in the trusted community they manage.
Community Partner gives that value a route into Tutorwise.
Example 4: School Community
A school may have access to both sides of the marketplace.
Some teachers tutor outside normal school hours.
Parents may be looking for additional support.
Students may need specialist help.
The same Community Partner referral link can introduce all of them.
There is no need for the school to choose whether it is a tutor Partner or a client Partner.
Example 5: One Tutor Referral
Your organisation knows Sarah, an experienced maths teacher.
Sarah wants to tutor after school.
You send her your Community Partner referral link.
Sarah joins Tutorwise, creates her profile and services, and begins receiving bookings.
As eligible sessions are delivered successfully, the applicable Community Partner platform-fee share can be generated.
You do not manually track or claim each session.
Example 6: One Client Referral
Your organisation knows James, a parent looking for GCSE support for his daughter.
You send James the same referral link.
James joins Tutorwise, finds an appropriate tutor, and completes a booking.
When the session is delivered successfully and the applicable referral conditions are satisfied, the referral reward can be generated.
Example 7: One Community, Both Sides
Your Community Partner introduces:
- five tutors;
- twenty parents;
- three adult learners.
You do not need to create separate Partner programmes.
Everyone can enter through the same Community Partner referral route.
Why Successful Sessions Matter
Community Partner is designed around real marketplace outcomes.
Tutorwise wants to reward introductions that lead to genuine value.
That means the objective is not simply to generate clicks.
It is to create successful connections between people who need services and people who can provide them.
A successful Community Partner does not need the biggest audience.
A trusted and relevant community can be more valuable than a large but disengaged one.
What If a Session Is Cancelled or Refunded?
Cancelled, refunded, failed, disputed, or otherwise ineligible sessions may not generate final Partner earnings.
A booking should not automatically be treated as final Partner earnings.
Applicable payment, completion, refund, dispute, and eligibility conditions must first be satisfied.
If a transaction is later reversed or refunded, an associated reward may also be adjusted where required.

You can start with a few simple steps.
1. Complete Your Profile
Go to:
Partner Portal → Profile
Make sure the information about your Community Partner is accurate and up to date.
2. Copy Your Referral Link
Go to:
Partner Portal → Referrals
Copy your Community Partner referral link.
3. Share It With Your Community
Start with the people most likely to benefit.
You might begin with:
- tutors currently looking for students;
- parents currently asking for recommendations;
- members who regularly request tutoring support;
- teachers interested in offering private tuition.
4. Monitor Attributed Users
Use:
Partner Portal → Referrals
to see who has been attributed to your Community Partner.
5. Monitor Earnings
Use:
Partner Portal → Earnings
to understand what eligible activity has generated.
Start with relevance, not volume.
The easiest first referrals are usually people already asking for the problem Tutorwise solves.
Best Practices for Community Partners
Use the Community You Already Have
You do not need to create a new audience.
Start with your existing network.
Explain Why Tutorwise Is Useful
Do not just post a link.
Explain what users can do after joining.
For example:
For tutors: create services, get discovered, receive bookings, and deliver sessions.
For clients: find tutors, compare services, book support, and manage sessions.
Share at the Right Moment
A referral is most useful when somebody already has a need.
For example:
"I'm looking for a physics tutor."
or:
"I'm a teacher and want to start tutoring privately."
That is a natural moment to introduce Tutorwise.
Use Existing Communication Channels
Use the places where your community already spends time:
- newsletters;
- WhatsApp groups;
- Facebook groups;
- member emails;
- community websites;
- school communications;
- events;
- tutor recruitment campaigns.
Keep Your Partner Profile Current
A complete Community Partner profile makes your organisation easier to understand and manage.
Monitor Attributed Users
Use the Referrals page to see who has joined through your Community Partner.
Monitor Earnings
Use the Earnings page to understand the value generated through successful activity.
What You Do Not Need to Manage
Community Partner is intended to be simple for admins.
You do not need to:
- create separate tutor and client referral links;
- decide whether a referral is supply or demand;
- manually assign user roles;
- create user accounts;
- manually create Partner relationships for each referral;
- manually calculate Partner earnings;
- manually calculate referral rewards;
- process marketplace bookings;
- manually claim every completed session;
- manually change referral attribution.
Tutorwise handles those platform processes.
Your role is to make meaningful introductions.
Fair Attribution
A strong referral programme depends on predictable attribution.
Tutorwise may apply controls designed to prevent:
- duplicate claims;
- conflicting referral attribution;
- fraudulent activity;
- artificial transactions;
- self-referral abuse;
- manipulation of referral relationships;
- improper reassignment;
- misuse of Partner benefits.
The goal is simple:
Reward genuine introductions while protecting users, Community Partners, and the Tutorwise marketplace.
Important Notes
Community Partner earnings depend on applicable programme and marketplace conditions.
- Referral clicks alone do not generate earnings.
- Signups alone do not necessarily generate earnings.
- Sessions must meet applicable completion requirements.
- Refunds, cancellations, disputes, and reversals may affect earnings.
- The 25% Partner share is calculated from Tutorwise's applicable platform fee.
- The 10% referral reward is a separate earning mechanism.
- The two percentages use different calculation bases.
- Attribution and earnings are subject to Tutorwise integrity and eligibility rules.

Where do I find my referral link?
Go to:
Partner Portal → Referrals
Where can I see the people I referred?
Go to:
Partner Portal → Referrals
The users attributed to your Community Partner appear there.
Why are they called "Attributed Users"?
Because Community Partners can introduce different kinds of users, not only tutors/providers.
Where do I see earnings?
Go to:
Partner Portal → Earnings
When do I earn?
Eligible earnings are linked to sessions delivered successfully and the applicable Tutorwise Partner and referral rules.
What does the 25% mean?
It means the Community Partner can earn 25% of Tutorwise's applicable platform fee generated through eligible referred tutor activity.
It does not mean 25% of the total booking value.
What does the 10% mean?
It is the applicable referral reward under Tutorwise's Refer & Earn model when the referral conditions are satisfied.
Can I earn from both on the same marketplace activity?
Where the Community Partner and referral conditions are both satisfied, the two earning routes can apply to the same underlying marketplace activity.
Does that mean 35% of the booking?
No.
The two percentages are calculated from different bases.
The 10% referral reward and the 25% share of Tutorwise's platform fee should not be combined and described as 35% of the booking value.
What happens if a booking is cancelled?
Cancelled, refunded, disputed, or otherwise ineligible activity may not generate final Partner earnings.
Do I need to operate a tutoring business?
No.
Community Partner is suitable for organisations and communities that can make relevant introductions.
A Facebook group admin, parent group, school community, tutor network, charity, or other suitable organisation may already have the relationships that make the programme valuable.
Can another admin in my organisation access the portal?
Portal access depends on the person's Community Partner membership and permission level.
Authorised owners and admins can access the functions available to their role.
Can I change my Partner type or status from Profile?
No.
Profile is for permitted Partner information.
Partner type, membership authority, lifecycle status, and other system-controlled information are managed separately.
